Tests

So frustrated with having to wait to find out what's going on. After all this, I'm not quite sure if I really want to have kids. I could just be the cool aunt. I would be okay with that.

They drew 5 vials of blood and of course it looks like a lot when you're not use to having more than one drawn at a time. Through the course of all of this, I've had to have a lot of blood tests done. At one point I was starting to look like a junkie, but thankfully they heal and you don't see them anymore.

Snow Day!

Sabrina dropped Dustin off this morning on her way to work so that she'd get an extra hour of drive time to get to work because of the storm that blew in overnight. Everything was either an 'uh oh' with a surprised look or a phrase I just couldn't quite make out. I can't even compare it to anything in my own vocabulary! I had to reply with the 'uh huh' and 'its okay' or he'd give me dirty looks. It was fun to get some cuddles in before work! Hopefully someday we can have kids, but who knows what the future is going to bring. We have tried before, but it's ended in just sadness.

Work was slow. Painfully slow because of the snow storm. It still didn't feel like I got anything accomplished even though I spent the whole day running around. I need to wear my pedometer to work again to see how many miles I'm racking up now. When I was in the toy department a typical day was 5 or 6 miles and a super busy day could be almost 10 miles. I'm not coming home quite as exhausted as I used to and I think that's because now it's just the walking around instead of all the physical stuff that came with stocking a crazy toy department!

Today at work was better than yesterday. It's still not what I want out of a job, but it's paying the bills and giving us some extra cash. If I hold out it should get better, but only time will tell.

When it came time to leave for work Dustin was still at my house. It broke my heart when I told him good bye and he scrunched his face up and started crying. I swear, when I told him I had to go to work, he told me 'NO, you stay here.' Its amazing how far along he's coming with his speech. He tries so hard to express himself and loves to repeat what you say because you know he's trying to memorize it for later use.

Slumber Party!

My sister asked me to take my awesome 18 month old nephew for the night. Well, there was a slight problem. We were lacking the toys needed for a night of fun at my house. It was like Christmas for the kid. He got a tool kit, a toy phone, a set of boats, a toy snake, and several other things. Talk about being spoiled! He has the best 'surprise' face ever. He was so excited when we got home and started opening things.

We're trying to expand his repertoire of words. I really want him to go home saying 'Aw man!'
